Leadership Ecademy, LLC, an Appleton, Wisconsin based Leadership Development and training company announced that they have partnered with SkillFitness, a Minneapolis based technology platform company to license technology to exclusively deliver leadership and business skills development. Tom Smith, Managing Partner for Leadership Ecademy, states “SkillFitness offers us an integrated solution that we can use to conduct role play and reflective exercises to better develop leadership competencies for our clients.” Terms of the agreement were not disclosed other than that they included cross marketing and renewal options. SkillFitness offers an iOS platform that allows classroom exercises to be presented as a video role play or reflective exercise that reinforces classroom learning on iPads and iPhones. Recorded responses are initially reviewed by students and when satisfied, sent to a coach to review.
SkillFitness was founded in 2013 and has successfully launched a sales training application, SalesFitness in 2014. Bill Young, President of SkillFitness stated “our agreement with Leadership Ecademy allows us to rapidly expand our footprint with larger organizations through the use of the Leadership Ecademy Leadership Development and Business Skills program.“ Wilson Garland, Chief Technology Officer for SkillFitness, added “Leadership Ecademy has the perfect application for the SkillFitness platform. We are looking forward to working with them.” SkillFitness was recognized in November 2014 by MobCon, placing second in a development competition for their sales training mobile application.
Leadership Ecademy LLC was founded in Appleton, Wisconsin in 2014 by Tom Sather, Mike Rosera and C. Thomas Smith and has offices in the Edison Center. Sather passed away unexpectedly in January but positioned the company to succeed in his absence. Smith is the past owner of New Horizons Computer Learning Centers of Wisconsin and assumed the managing partner responsibilities in February, 2015. Rosera, who has held executive positions with Neenah Paper, Kimberly Clark and HC Miller, is responsible for operations and technology. They were recently awarded an exclusive contract with OneSource Professional Training Solutions, Inc. , Kennesaw Georgia, to conduct employee development events for an undisclosed government agency.
